So this past week has been so busy. We got home from vacation on Monday and have been doing things nonstop since. We hit Friday and realized how tired we really are. It was Iowa's homecoming this weekend so we went to the parade on Friday night and then went to the football game on Saturday. We had plans for Sunday but decided that needed to be our day of rest. Nora and Molly got in our bed Sunday morning and I laid down with them....then Brian caught us and we had to get ready for church. We had a fun Sunday hanging out as a family, and doing nothing.
In church this morning we sang the song "How Great is our God" and I thought about how wonderful it is to have my husband and two girls and how great is God that he has given our family so many blessings. We finished the series in Romans at church today and was challenged to think about how we don't always have to understand why God does the things that he does but we do need to trust that what his is doing is right and we are blessed to be part of his kingdom.

New TV
So Brian finally got his new TV. He came home from the store and said that he couldn't decide between the 42" or the 46" and they didn't have the 42" in stock so he got the 46"....hmmm...it is a little big. When he came home Nora thought that she should "help" set it up. It was fun to see how excited Brian got about this new TV. When Nora watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse I feel like Mickey is in our living room!

Our super star...
Nora loves to sing and read her books. Below she is singing take me out to the ballgame and reading some of her nursery rhymes.
Nora or Dora??
So for the past week Nora's new obsession is all of her Dora the Explorer books. She has never even see the tv show but wants us to read her Dora books all the time. The other night around 2 am she woke up becuase of a storm. I went in her room and she said, "If you read the Dora book for 1 minute it will make me feel better." I explained that mommy was a little to tired to read the Dora book at 2 am-although I have it memorized so I could have done it in the dark.

First Hawkeye Game
Over Labor Day weekend Rachel, Tex and Josiah Esenhour came to our house to visit. On Saturday Rachel and I took the kids down the stadium to tailgate with everyone and then went home while Tex and Brian went to the game. Nora had a great time seeing the band. Herkey surpised her with a huge hug...she said, "His beak knocked in my head". We all had a good time and the Hawkeyes had a win. Below is Molly during the tailgate.
Sold
This past week Brian, Molly and Kari traveled to Harrisonburg to do the closing on our house. We sold the house almost one year of putting it on the market. It is good to have the house sold, and hard to have that chapter in our lives close. While in VA we stayed with Melanie and Brice a few nights and Josh and Sarah the others. Below are some pictures of Micah holding Molly. We had a great time visiting with friends. The other picture is Aaron and Melinda Yoder's new baby boy Emmet with Molly.
