Pumpkin Patch

Sunday afternoon was beautiful and I needed to get my apple turnover fix so we headed out to Wilson's apple orchard. This year was a bad year for apples so we just rode the wagon, got turnovers and candy apples, and picked out a pumpkin. What a wonderful way to spend a fall afternoon!

Applesauce

We went to Kalona for church and during the service Verna Zook announced that anyone who wanted to come and get apples for free could. We stopped by her house on the way home and got four big bags of apples. When we got home Nora and Molly helped me make applesauce. We ended up getting 8 quarts out of all the apples. I will have to remember to stop by her house next year!

Molly wanted to eat more than help at times.

Bathtime

Sean is hit or miss when it comes to enjoying his bath. Some nights he loves it and will smile and be happy and then other nights he screams his head off. We have just started trying to make bath time a routine. As you can see the girls enjoy helping with this routine!

First tailgate

We had our first home football game this weekend and all the kids got to go and attend the tailgate. Nora had a ticket from being in the jr. hawk club so she got to go to the game. The weather was not good that day, but the downpour held off until Sean, Molly and I made it back to our house. Nora only stayed for the first quarter and then she and grandma headed home to get dry!
