So big!

This is a photo that Brian's mom took and I just think that Molly looks so grown up. It is hard to believe that she is already 18 months!

Sledding in Indiana

Even though we didn't have a lot of snow (at the time) we went sledding with the girls in Indiana. Molly is so funny in the snow, she just stands in one place. You think that living in Iowa snow would be a natural thing for her but for some reason she is in shock and won't move! Nora had fun pulling Molly on the sled and at the end I got a family picture. It was the only day we could go out and play since it got so cold.

Christmas 09

This Christmas was not as crazy as some years but the weather did make it a little interesting. We had Christmas with Brian's mom and dad on Christmas Eve. We went to their house and did gifts and ate a wonderful meal. We all got lottery tickets in our stocking and Jim (Brian's dad) won $800!
Then Christmas morning we did Christmas with the girls. It was so fun to see them get excited when we came downstairs. Nora kept asking me if I heard Santa's reindeer on the top of the house. We got them a big princess tent as the major gift. Nora also got a digital camera (for kids) that she has been taking TONS of pictures with. The plan was to open gifts and then hang out for awhile and leave for Indiana around 12 or 1. There was a major storm coming so we just opened gifts and left by 9:00. My house was not how I normally leave it and we packed rather quickly but we beat the storm. We got to Indiana that afternoon and did gifts with my family.
My mom got Nora and Molly the horse that is on a stick and stuck it in the Christmas tree. The girls got lots more gifts to keep them entertained for a week at Grandmas. We stayed in Indiana from Christmas until New Years Day. For New Years Eve we stayed at mom and dad's and they had some friends over to play cards. It was fun to be the "young" people:)
While in Indiana Nora got really sick with the flu. She started on Wednesday that week and was still sick when we left Friday. Again the weather changed our plans. We where supposed to leave on Saturday but another storm was coming so we left on Friday and had some bad weather until around Chicago but then it all cleared up. We got home and were exhausted! We spent all day Saturday putting away Christmas stuff and trying to organize ourselves. Nora went to the doctor and got some medication that helped her.
So now that all of that is over we are ready to get back into our normal lives. I start class on January 8th and Nora is back in preschool after break. The weather in Iowa is oh so cold...and LOTS of snow...but that is not new.
My new years resolution is try and spend more time each day in prayer. I want to make it more of a priority in my day instead of something I do when I have time. I will keep everyone posted on how it goes!
