Wife,mom and student

My life has been VERY crazy for the past few weeks. I am almost done with my masters and working hard on balancing the roles of wife, mom and student. It has been difficult at times to balance these three roles but it has also taught me a lot. Being a student over the past two 1/2 years has given me the chance to stay in the education world without actually going to work each day. Getting a masters is not something that I had on the top of my list of things to do. Now that I am so close to being done I realize what a good thing it was for me.

To finish my masters I had to teach 60 hours with a reading specialist. I was able to work with Sarah Heenan at West High school in the ELL reading strategies classroom for around 8 weeks. I really enjoyed this experience and Sarah was an excellent role model. I will officially be done with my classes on December 9th! Until then there might not be much action on the blog!

Nearing the end of fall

Larry and Carolyn Detwiler invited us down to their land to have a end of the year hay ride, cookout and jump in the leaves. The girls loved it! They had so much fun running around on the land and playing in the leaves with Will and Aiden. It got pretty chilly on our hayride back to the house! Not sure if fall is officially turning to winter…
