Black Friday

So Nora is just like her mom....:) She likes to look for great deals! This is a picture of Nora telling her Grandpa what she wants for Christmas out of the Toys R Us ad. We woke up on Thanksgiving and I was going through all the ads (did I mention that I love going through the ads for black Friday) and Nora found a Dora thing that she wanted. When she found it she said that she needed to call Jim (her Grandpa). So she called Jim at 8 (and woke him up) to tell him that she wanted a Dora Barbie for Christmas. He was a good sport and talked with her for awhile and let her go on about all the things that she saw in the ads.

Eberly's visit

Peter and Natalie and their three kids (Evan, Olivia, and Issac) came to stay with us for a few days. We had a lot of fun with them. The kids had a good time playing together. We became good friends with them when we lived in Virginia and it is neat to see how much the kids have changed since we left. We took the kids to the Children's museum one day and then we did the play area in the mall another day.
Peter and Brian are second cousins so that makes our kids....third cousins?? I am not sure, I just know they are realated! We hope they had a good trip home to Virgina, and hope to see them again soon.

Sisters

Both girls had just taken a bath and Nora was giving Molly a hug goodnight.

Halloween

The girls had a good time for Halloween. Nora was a dog. She said she was "wags the dog" from the wiggles. Molly was going to be a bumble bee but the weather was so hot that we just put her in a little outfit that looked like a lady bug. Our nextdoor neighbor Grace was Elmo. Nora had so much fun handing out candy to the kids that came to our house. The weather was perfect and we sat outside most of the evening just watching kids and letting Nora play in her costume.

Cold weather is coming..

So we are now setting record temps here in Iowa. On November 4th it was 73 degrees. Somehow Nora seems to think that it is winter. She drug out all the hats, gloves and scarfs the other day and put them on. We had to take Molly to the doctor and she thought that she had to wear all her gear. So we went to the doctor with all Nora's winter gear on in 70 degree weather. When we got inside Nora told the nurse that it was "a very chilly day today". I told the nurse that with a two year old you sometimes just have to agree.

After all the warm weather that we have had they are calling for mid 40's and possible snow this weekend. This weekend Iowa playes Penn state at home. I am a true fair weather fan...if it is snowing I am staying home!! I am sure that Brian would be there even it was a blizzard!

Big sister helps!

Molly just learned to roll over so we were trying to get it on camera. We couldn't get Molly to roll over for us so Nora decided to help. It was really funny!

Molly is four months

It is crazy that Molly is already four months old. She is rolling over from her back to her tummy and she is trying so hard to sit up. I think that she has abs of steel from trying so hard. She is is always similing and when we play peek a boo she will laugh at us. She really enjoys sitting in the bumbo and trying to bounce up and down in the jump up.

Gretchen and Bailey

Brian had to take a trip to D.C. so Gretchen came out from Goshen to spend the week with us. She brought her dog Bailey and I wasn't sure what Nora was going to think, but she loved her. Nora would throw the ball to her and thought it was so great that she brought it back! Nora also liked telling Bailey what to do...one time Nora found Bailey laying down and told her that if she didn't follow the sleep rules that she would turn off the light. Hmmm...I wonder where she hears that!! Now whenever we are coming home Nora will say "Maybe Bailey will be at my house when I get home...what do you think?"

While Gretchen was here we didn't do much but just hung around the house. Gretchen was a HUGE help with the girls. It was really fun to just hang out with her and enjoy the company. I think that she likes coming to get her kid fix for awhile and then go home to just her and Chris! We always love having her come visit us.
