Nora's Birthday

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Nora's 6th birthday. She is growing and changing so much, and so fast! All she wanted for her birthday was an American Girl Doll (McKenna, the doll of the year). I was not excited about spending that much on a doll that I wasn't sure she really wanted. We talked to her about how expensive the doll is and that she needed to make a choice between a doll or a friends party for her birthday. This was my way of making sure she reallywanted the doll. She stuck with wanting the doll, so that was her present. We did have a Miller pie night and celebrated then with a cake so she did have a family party.

McKenna's warm up outfit and accessories.

Opening Mckenna!

Our friends the Hinderackers came over for Miller pie night and Rachel made this wonderful cake-the entire cake was chocolate with a chocolate fudge center!! The cake was very cool!

Nora at 6 years

  • Nora has a very outgoing and friendly personality, she is our little socialite!
  • Loves school and especially reading and writing. We are so proud of how well she is doing in Kindergarten and how much she enjoys school.
  • Right now she is into riding her bike and will ride with me when I go on a run.
  • Nora is taking dance and swim lessons and enjoys both of them.
  • Nora is a great big sister to both Molly and Sean, she is my little helper. Sean will get the biggest smile when Nora gets home from school, he really likes the way she plays with him.
Looking back over the past six years I am so proud of the girl that Nora has grown to be. She still loves to be in charge and is always the teacher when she plays school at home. It has been useful in her teaching Molly everything she needs to know for preschool!
Nora we love you so much and I am so excited to watch you grow and change!

8 months

Sean is now 8 months and starting to do so many new things. He can say "da, da" and will copy other sounds that we make. He is army crawling everywhere, I am sure it won't take long to start moving faster. Sean is eating 2-3 jars of baby food a day (this is amazing since the girls at next to nothing) as well as some table food. I love this age and how they just soak up everything.

Sean and the girls

As I stated in another post Sean is talking and interacting more with us and the girls are loving it. Both Molly and Nora enjoy sitting with Sean and just making funny noises to see if he will do them back! It is so fun that they both love their little brother and want to interact and play with him.

Pictures from Indiana

Here are just a few photos from our time in Indiana!

First time swimming

My brother and his girlfriend Meagean came to my dad's birthday party and stayed at a hotel in Middlebury. The hotel that they stayed in had a pool so we all went swimming on Sunday morning before they left. It was the first time that we have had Sean swimming, and he loved it. He looked so cute in his little swim shorts!!

Ron's 60th Birthday

On March 1st my dad turned 60 years old and my mom threw him a party in Indiana. The party was a lot of fun, I got to see lots of family that I don't see that often. The party was an open house and we had over 70 people come. My dad got new hearing aids the morning of the party-it was a great way to break them in!!
My dad his sister Bev and brother Steve.
Me with my cousins Laura, Mindy, and Jenny (and Nora)
Dad's cake-it was so yummy!
