Into everything!

Sean's new favorite thing is to open up all the cabinets and pull out the contents. #1 on Brian's to do list this weekend is to child proof then cabinets. Until then Sean will enjoy playing and I will tread carefully around all the dishes on the kitchen floor.

Football Has begun

The month of September is busy for our family because of Hawkeye football. I saw a sign the other day that really fit our family. It said, "We interrupt this family for...football season". I think that is the best way to describe how much my husband enjoys football season.

This month we have four home football games. I am glad that we have the opportunity to go to football games and I have a lot fun at them. I feel like when it is fall I can "smell" football in the air. Looking forward to cheering on the Hawks!!

First Day of Preschool

First day of First Grade

Waiting on the bus!

Nora had a great day of First grade, she loves school and I knew that she would do great. The funny thing about having pictures of the kids waiting for the bus is that the bus never came on the first day! For some reason a storm the night before knocked out the bus radios so the bus got turned around. After waiting until school actually started the parents then took their kids to school. It is a fun story to remember the first day! Nora is so happy to start school AND be in the same class as her friend Grace. We also love Coralville Central and her teacher Mrs. Lohman. Looking forward to a great year.

Books of the Bible

Our church had different families come to church and help paint the books of the Bible on the hallway of the children's wing. It was so neat to see the different ideas that families came up with. The only rules we had where that they had to have the name of the book and then a verse from that book. Our girls loved taking some ownership in creating a book. We did the book of Mark, as you can see we are not the most artistic family, but I thought it turned out! These are photos of some of the other books in the hallway.

Princess Dance Camp

 

Molly got to do princess dance camp at Nolte for a week and she LOVED it. She got to dress up as a different princess each day and then at the end of that day they gave a little show. If you know Molly she loves to dress up, loves to pretend, and loves to dance so all these things together was a perfect week for her. We are excited to have dance start again in the fall!
