New Haircut

Today I took Nora to get a haircut. We got a lot cut off..she looks so old now!! What a cutie!

A warm day!!

Today was such a warm day outstide that Nora and I did chalk. I drew a hopscotch for her and showed her how to use it. She had such a good time and was so funny. She was trying so hard to jump on the numbers. It was so fun to be out and it is probably one of the last really warm days here in Iowa.

What a week....

Tuesday morning I woke up and I had this terrible pain in my neck when I rolled over. I went to get out of bed and almost passed out becuase it hurt so bad. Luckily Brian's mom was planning to come over that morning to watch the girls, so Brian went and took me to the doctor. I pulled a muscle in my neck. They gave me pain medication and a lovely neck brace. I think Brian about rolled over in laughter when he came in and saw me in the neck brace. The medication that they gave me knocked me out for pretty much the whole week. I went on Friday and saw a massage therarpist and they did a massage for an hour just on my neck. That made things much better.



I was feeling really bad last week and Brian reminded me that God has a purpose for everything. I did catch up on a lot of rest. I am so lucky to have Brian's mom, Grandma and Aunt Jean help with the girls during the week.

Relax!!!!

So this past week has been so busy. We got home from vacation on Monday and have been doing things nonstop since. We hit Friday and realized how tired we really are. It was Iowa's homecoming this weekend so we went to the parade on Friday night and then went to the football game on Saturday. We had plans for Sunday but decided that needed to be our day of rest. Nora and Molly got in our bed Sunday morning and I laid down with them....then Brian caught us and we had to get ready for church. We had a fun Sunday hanging out as a family, and doing nothing.

In church this morning we sang the song "How Great is our God" and I thought about how wonderful it is to have my husband and two girls and how great is God that he has given our family so many blessings. We finished the series in Romans at church today and was challenged to think about how we don't always have to understand why God does the things that he does but we do need to trust that what his is doing is right and we are blessed to be part of his kingdom.

Wash the Car

It was such a nice day that Brian decided to let Nora "help" him wash the car. It was so funny to watch Nora try to squirt the hose. She really got into her job and came in pretty wet.

Michigan weekend

Last weekend my family went to upper Michigan were my brother Justin lives and rented a house on the lake. We had such a good time. The weather was wonderful and Grandma and Grandpa had fun with the girls. Nora loved feeding the ducks and playing in the sand. We didn't do much other than hang out at the house. It was a great time to realax.
